In 2020, REF had a vision for an Electrical Engineering Firm that would bring innovation into our lives in a way that no other company had done before. This dream came true when REF was established that same year. Since then, we’ve worked on many projects with the single goal of providing innovative engineering solutions.

Through SCADA, we leverage our knowledge to reduce risk and provide electrical system visibility to those who need it most. We’re constantly looking for new advancements and technologies to find the smartest and most fundamental solutions.

Automation

Providing Automation Programming and Commissioning Electrical Systems are vital to maintaining safety in most projects we undertake at REF. Whether a project falls under Utility or a Process area, RELIABLE Automation is key to successful site operations. Automation programs built and deployed by our Electrical Engineering Firm are safe, stable, and built to last.

Asset Management

Through innovative RFID technologies, we at REF have found advancements in electrical equipment management.  No longer will engineers rely on nameplates, outdated single lines, or hearsay.  Electrical equipment can be tagged with RFID chips containing all pertinent information relative to that component of the electrical system.  For instance, a transformer tag can store manufacturer nameplate data, but also testing dates, upstream/downstream cable connections, etc.  This becomes very useful in power system model data collection and obtainable with the scan of a phone.
