In 2020, REF had a vision for an Electrical Engineering Firm that would bring innovation into our lives in a way that no other company had done before. Asset Management
Through innovative RFID technologies, we at REF have found advancements in electrical equipment management. No longer will engineers rely on nameplates, outdated single lines, or hearsay. Electrical equipment can be tagged with RFID chips containing all pertinent information relative to that component of the electrical system. For instance, a transformer tag can store manufacturer nameplate data, but also testing dates, upstream/downstream cable connections, etc. This becomes very useful in power system model data collection and obtainable with the scan of a phone.
